Summer is sizzling with Calor and Irish Pride!

Summer wouldn’t be summer without Irish Pride Bunsters Buns.  This summer is set to be even tastier, as Irish Pride and Calor are cooking up a special offer for BBQ fans all over Ireland.  The exclusive on-pack Calor Mini BBQ offer is running across the Irish Pride Bunster range, including Bunster Buns, Bunster Seeded Buns and Bunster Fab 4s.

Throughout the summer, Ireland’s BBQ kings and queens can share their favourite al fresco recipes on the Irish Pride website to be in with the chance of winning a prize.  Each week between now and the 19th of August, Irish Pride will pick a lucky winner who will receive a Calor Mini BBQ, BBQ utensil kit and Irish Pride Bunster Hamper.  3 weekly runners up will receive a BBQ utensil kit and an Irish Pride Bunster Hamper.

So far we have recieved some great enteries including this winning receipe from Karina Thompson with her recipe Clear The Kitchen Presses Tuna Burger!

Clear The Kitchen Presses Tuna Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1  tuna can, drained 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs 
  • 1/3 cup minced onion 
  • 1/4 cup minced red bell pepper 
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 
  • 2 tablespoons chilli sauce 
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 
  • 1 drop hot pepper sauce 
  • 1 drop Worcestershire sauce 
  • 4 hamburger Irish Pride seeded buns 
  • 1 sliced tomato1 sliced avocado 
  • 4 leaves of lettuce

Method:

1. Combine tuna, egg, bread crumbs, onion, red bell pepper, mayonnaise, chilli sauce, salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce. 

2. Mix well. 

3. Shape into burger patties. 

4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. 

5. Grill on BBQ for 10 mins 

6. Add mayo, tomatoes, avocado & lettuce to bun. 

7. Enjoy!
