Frequently Asked Questions about the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme

Eligibility depends on your current energy supplier, the type of fuel you use, and the improvements being considered. All EEOS-supported work must be carried out by qualified, registered professionals. This ensures the work meets safety and energy standards, keeping you eligible for funding.
It varies depending on the type of upgrade, but once your consultation is complete, Calor aims to move quickly, guiding you through the assessment, approvals, and installation process. Smaller projects may be completed in weeks, while larger ones may take longer.
A BER (Building Energy Rating) is a certificate that indicates a building's energy efficiency, rated on a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). It helps you understand how much energy your home or business is likely to use for heating, lighting, and hot water. If you’re applying for EEOS support, a BER may be required before or after your upgrade to measure the energy improvements made.
You may need a BER (Building Energy Rating) before or after the work to confirm your property’s energy performance. If your BER is less than six years old and your property hasn’t had major renovations, you might not need a new one.

It’s simple! Start with a free consultation where we’ll:

  • Review your home or business energy use
  • Recommend eligible EEOS upgrades
