Star Fuels keeping Calor’s Flame Burning Bright in Clonmel

Pat Myers and his wife Nora set up Star Fuels in Clonmel 25 years ago. What started as a small family business, today has grown to an almost 20 person strong team, including Pat’s son Aidan, servicing customers in north Cork, Dungarvan, Kilkenny, Thurles and Limerick, from the company’s bases at Clonmel and Mitchelstown. 2018 is a particularly exciting year for Star Fuels as they open a third site in Springmount.

Star Fuels specialise in wholesale and retail distribution of all solid fuel products, domestic agri and auto oils, animal feed and animal healthcare products. Before establishing Star Fuels, Pat was a branch manager of a similar business in Clonmel for fourteen years, and so, over almost 4 decades, has become an expert in the fuel needs of his local community. He has seen a lot of changes in the customer needs over the years:

“We are extremely lucky to have fantastic long term customers. Fostering great relationships with customers is the way you build a business.  Our team are on the road every day, checking in with our customers, to ensure we understand and anticipate their changing needs. A lot of our success is down to our hard working staff, most have been with us since day one and therefore know what our customers need.”

Star Fuels have been a Calor Gas supplier since the day they first opened their doors in 1993. They stock a range of Calor gas cylinders allowing them to meet the needs and requirements of local homes and businesses;

“Calor is renowned for being a trustworthy and reliable brand, and the proof is in the pudding, we have been delivering Calor cylinders to power homes and businesses in our local community for decades and they have never let us down.”
