Guaranteed 85 Degree Hot Water for Claxton's Dairy Farm

Pictured: Dairy Farmer Andrew Claxton explains why he switched to Calor.

Get instant hot water on demand. Calor’s energy advisors have vast experience working with dairy farmers around Ireland to design wash down systems that work for the dairy farm enterprise that help to drive down their costs and increase environmental sustainability. Calor Rinnai instant water heaters easily deliver the large quantities of boiling water that are required each day to wash milk lines and bulk milk storage tanks, ensuring hygiene and controlling the Total Bacteria Count (TBC) of milk and contamination risks such as Thermoduric Bacteria.

One farmer who used the system across two dairy farms is Andrew Claxton who converted his farm in Stradbally to Calor Gas water heaters a couple of years ago and more recently has installed the same system in a dairy farm in New Ross;

“The Calor instant water heaters have been a great benefit to our dairy business. It’s a much more efficient system for us to heat the water we need for plant and bulk tank washing. We have all the hot water we need at any time, day or night and importantly it’s at the right temperature to ensure we maintain the hygiene level we need. We’ve definitely made savings since changing to gas.”

The Calor Rinnai system produces a reliable, instant and infinite supply of hot water on demand, providing temperatures of up to 85°C instantly, minimising the need for chemical detergent use on dairy farms. It’s more efficient too as water is only heated when it’s required so hot water storage costs are eliminated.

Calor’s telemetry system also ensures that farm’s never run short on gas, as a gauge continuously monitors gas levels.

Do you have a robotic milking system?

Voluntary milking systems (VMS) require instant hot water at 85 degrees on demand. Calor is the ONLY energy provider at present that can provide and guarantee that. If you're interested in learning more contact us today or visit our farming section to learn more.
