Calor proudly supported the event which saw the three churches of Eglington; Star of the Sea Church, St. Canices Parish Church and Faughanvale Prebysterian church, join together to deliver an evening of food, fun and fundraising. Cooking in the Calor kitchen was multi award-winning Chef Ian Orr, of Browns Bonds Hill Group. Chef Orr delighted the packed audience of almost 350 attendees with the aroma of lrish traditional Lamb, a dish he recently cooked up on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen Live.
The evening formed part of a series of events that have been taking place throughout the region since the village of Eglinton was devastated by floods in August 2017. The community of Eglinton, and the surrounding Faughanvale region, raised almost £3000 on the night of the cookery demonstration which will help those affected, some of whom are only now returning to their homes since the floods.
