About Calor
Ireland
For almost 90 years, Calor has been
trusted to deliver energy to Irish consumers regardless of their location. LPG,
the core Calor product, is a lower carbon and cleaner burning fuel, delivering
carbon emission savings of circa 11% when compared to oil products. Switching
to BioLPG, Calor’s renewable gas, delivers even greater savings – up to 80%
compared to conventional LPG.
Calor launched BioLPG in 2018, the first in Ireland. BioLPG is made from a blend of waste, residues and sustainably sourced materials. It is chemically similar to the traditional Calor LPG, with the same performance, properties and composition making it an ideal drop in solution for existing LPG installations.
With the launch of BioLPG, Calor made a firm statement of intent regarding the future direction of the brand. Calor’s responsible product strategy is to ensure that the source and supply of its products become increasingly renewable and sustainable, to meet its customer’s future needs. This transition begins with offering lower carbon solutions through LPG, paving the way for the eventual integration of renewable gas, BioLPG, as the next phase in our journey towards sustainability. In addition, our range of blend options ensures that businesses can make the transition to renewable energy in a manner that aligns with their budget and operational requirements.
