‘Tipperary 200’ cycling event races ahead with Calor support

Calor is delighted to support the first ever “Tipperary 200” cycling event taking place throughout Tipperary on 11th August 2018. Thirty five enthusiastic cyclists will take to the road, racing through 212km of scenic Tipperary countryside.

The event is being held in support of a very worthy local cause.  All proceeds raised will benefit Tomás Kelly, who was paralysed before Christmas in very unfortunate circumstances. Tomás is the 16-year-old son of Sergeant Tom Kelly of Clonmel.

One of those cyclists taking part is Luke Bourke, son of local Calor installer Bernard Bourke. Luke is an avid cyclist who is relishing the challenge of pedaling for 212km and the great sense of achievement of eventually completing this course.

The sponsorship was made possible by Local Calor representative Wesley Hampton.  Wesley knows the importance of community spirit and was delighted to get Calor involved in supporting the event in its inaugural year.

Sharon Nolan, Marketing Manager with Calor explained the reason for getting involved;

“We are thrilled to support the Tipperary 200 Cycle. Giving back to the community is a core value for Calor, and we are happy to play a part in bringing alive the first year of this event.  We became involved in the event through our own local representative Wesley Hampton and also Bernard Bourke, a well-known RGII installer in Tipperary.  The event is all about local communities making a difference.

It seemed the perfect fit for Calor’s ethos.”

Calor wishes all thirty five cyclists the very best of luck for the event and in the lead up to the ‘Tipperary 200’ cycle.
