1. Stay Well-Stocked
Calor customers can enjoy the convenience of automatic delivery. Our monitoring system ensures your tank is filled, keeping your radiators, cookers, and heaters fuelled. If you are not an automatic top-up customer, you can place your gas order through the MyCalorGas portal or by calling 01 450 5000. We would recommend getting your gas ordered before the busy winter period to make sure you have a full tank going into the winter months.

Even the smallest drafts can lead to significant heat loss in your home. Shutting doors and windows tightly can substantially reduce this loss. Additionally, use draught excluders and consider adding rugs or blankets to wooden floors to further retain warmth.
With cooler temperatures on the horizon, raising the indoor heating can prevent frozen pipes and the costly aftermath of burst pipes.
Remember the "Three-Feet Rule" when using heaters – keep flammable items at least three feet away from your heater at all times. If you're enjoying a fire, ensure fireplace embers are extinguished before going to bed and always employ a fire guard.
Prioritise safety with working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms throughout your home.
Maintain a consistent thermostat setting day and night to prevent pipes from freezing and bursting, especially if your home will be unoccupied. Know the location of your water shut-off valve in case of a burst pipe during extreme weather.
